Affiliate Marketing
Your virtual sales force
Affiliate marketing differs from other online channels
in that other websites promote and advertise your products
and services and only receive payment when a sale has
been confirmed and attributed to the affiliate. The
affiliate decides on how they will attract traffic to
their website where your promotional campaign will be
displayed.
Remuneration is usually based on a CPA basis (cost-per-acquisition)
but some affiliate programmes will pay on a CPC (cost-per-click)
basis (for example where an online transaction doesn't
take place but a sales lead is generated for follow-up).
Whether you are looking to develop an affiliate offering
for promotion through an affiliate network (e.g.
Commission Junction, TradeDoubler, Affiliate Window
etc.) or prefer to create a private programme and 'invite'
affiliates to join your programme directly, we can help
you set-up and manage your 'virtual sales force' of
affiliates promoting your products and brand. Keeping your programme
fresh with refreshed graphical media, incentive programmes,
bonuses and competitive commissions will keep you in
prominent position with your affiliates. Contact us to discuss your affiliate marketing requirements on 0845 463 1973 or by email at: enquiries@enpiem.co.uk
Affiliate marketing is a relatively low-risk venture
if you are rewarding your affiliates on a CPA basis
(i.e. only a payment when a sale is made), but there
are careful considerations to be made when launching
your programme. For example, pay-per-click (PPC) is
a popular method for affiliates to drive traffic to
their website page promoting your affiliate programme
and this will essentially make them a 'competitor' on
the search engine sponsored adverts with you if you use PPC as an acquisition channel. Careful
preparation of affiliate contracts and policing of sponsored
adverts will allow you to maintain control over your
affiliates.
Affiliate marketing requires the production of affiliate
collateral such as a suite of graphical media for affiliates
to use on their website. This would typically include
a range of banner advertising (see our Internet advertising size guide for examples). You will also need to
prepare promotional copy for the affiliate so they can
use this within the content sections of their site.
We can help you prepare your affiliate collateral and
help you attract and strengthen your affiliate relationships.
